Acne Treatments in Saffron Walden

Micro Needling for Acne and Scarring

Microneedling is a fantastic facial that can be used for treating acne and acne scarring.

Bare Beauty Saffron Walden uses a MediDerma Nanopore Microneedling device. Unlike older technology such as the Dermaroller and Dermapen treatments, this device penetrates vertically using an automatic vibrating function.

Using an automated vertical device means the skin is not damaged. Dermaroller and Dermapen are handheld devices which can cause tearing and scarring. The Nanopore avoids these issues.

The Nanopore reaches a depth of 0.25 and creates 900 micro-wounds per second. It is these micro-wounds that enables the skin to kick start the wound healing process and and create more collagen and fibroblasts.

Needling works very well for treating acne scars. By rolling the scars with needles the skin is encouraged to renew and plump which evens out the pitted scarred skin. It can also be used on stretch marks and helping to prevent stretch marks. Stimulating the skin with collagen makes the skin thicker meaning it is less likely to stretch and pull as easily.

Mesotherapy

Needling is a great stand alone skin treatment however when combined with Mesotherapy it is even more powerful.

Mesotherapy is a non-invasive treatment which uses needling to inject a skin cocktail tailored to you. Using superfine injections of vitamins, amino acids, hyaluronic acid and minerals Mesotherapy allows your therapist to pick a cocktail to benefit your needs.

Celluma Light Therapy

Celluma Pro uses a combination of Blue Light wavelength of 465NM allowing treatment for a variety of different types of acne including acne vulgaris.

Bacteria is the main cause of acne and clogged pores. Using Blue light causes a molecular change in bacteria which kills it off. Many treatments, like the use of Benzoyl Peroxide can make mild acne worse as it can be too harsh.

This treatment includes Near Infrared Light emitting diodes which provides wound healing. The combination of two different wavelengths helps to kill the bacteria, clears active breakouts of blackheads and whiteheads and repairs the injuries caused by acne.

Combining light therapy with other skin treatments such as Microneedling can greatly improve the appearance of acne scarring.

Other common skin conditions such as Rosacea, eczema, psoriasis and others can be treated.

Chemical Peels

Chemical Peels or skin resurfacing is an effective facial for treating a variety of complaints. Bare Beauty uses Mediderma products, a world renowned medical skin care brand.

Each treatment is tailored to our client after they have had a free skin consultation. The number of treatments required will vary on an individual basis. We normally recommend between 3-6 sessions.

Lactic Acid and Salicylic acid peels are incredibly effective acne treatments. Salicylic Acid helps calm inflamed skin. It also break whiteheads and cleans blackheads, this allows the acid to work from the inside out.

Lactic Acid helps control the oil in the skin and works on killing bacteria and detoxing skin.

Scarring Treatments

Many clients suffer from acne scarring, stretch marks and trauma wounds. Mediderma produces a number of different treatments that can help improve the appearance and texture. It may be recommended that these treatments are combined with others such as medical microneedling.

All Chemical Peels are combined with the most advanced Light Therapy Technology to accelerate cellular production.

Pro Hydrafacial

This facial will give you instant and visible results that you can see and feel after each treatment. It uses a vortex tip working in circular motions that extracts impurities. At the same time a skin cocktail, designed to cleanse and moisturise is pushed deep into the skin.

The first step uses facial massage to drain away toxins in the skin. The second step exfoliates your face. The next stage is a deep cleanse to extract blackheads and whiteheads. This is then followed by hydration.
