What is HIFU?
High Intensity Focused Ultrasound, also known as '3D Skinmed' and 'Ultherapy', is an anti-ageing facial that offers incredible results. The non-surgical facelift focuses on three different depths of skin that could only previously be targeted by a surgeons scalpel.

How Does Intensity Focused Ultrasound - HIFU work?
HIFU individually targets brow, jowl and neck lifting, as well as overall skin tightening. This therapy uses three different cartridges to provide focused treatment to the three different layers of skin.
Cartridge 1.5mm delivers energy to the Epidermis. This helps to smooth the fine line and wrinkles on the surface of the skin.
Cartridge 3mm delivers energy to the Dermis which aids the production of collagen and elastin.
Cartridge 4.5mm delivers energy to the SMAS layer. SMAS is the layer that sits between your muscle and the fat layer. It is this area that a plastic surgeon would pull on during a facelift.
HIFU is the only non-surgical skin treatment that is able to reach this depth of skin. It is this component that delivers such fantastic results without the potential side effects of a surgical face lift.
The Results
We recommend one HIFU per year if you are over 40 years of age. If you are under 40 than one HIFU every two years would be sufficient. Some initial results are usually immediately noticeable. But, as HIFU is using the bodies own mechanisms to develop new and increased collagen and elastin stimulation this takes time
This gradual process continues for up to 6 months. The benefit of this is a gradual, natural looking rejuvenation, likely eliciting responses from friends, colleagues and family on how well you look!
HIFU is safe to use on all skin colours and types. The majority of clients tolerate this treatment well but if any discomfort or sensitivity is experienced your treatment can be adjusted to address this.
