Chemical Peels in Saffron Walden
Chemical Peels or skin resurfacing is an effective facial for treating a variety of complaints. Bare Beauty uses Mediderma products, a world renowned medical skin care brand.
Each treatment is tailored to our client after they have had a free skin consultation. We have skin treatments to help with acne, fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage and scarring. The number of treatments required will vary on an individual basis. We normally recommend between 3-6 sessions.
What are Chemical Peels?
Acid peels are designed to exfoliate your skin. The depth of the treatment is determined by how many layers of skin we want to affect.
The different types of treatments available at Bare Beauty are:
Superficial – affects the stratum corneum (surface of the skin) and the top layers epidermis.
Medium – affects all layers of the epidermis and partial destruction of the papillary dermis.
Deep –affects the epidermis and the dermis.
Pigmentation Peel
There are many types of pigmentation such as; sun damage, photo-ageing, hyperpigmentation, melasma, keratoses and age spots. A skin consultation in one of our treatment rooms will enable us to provide options tailored for your skin type.
This could include one of the following types of peels, Glycolic Acid, Mandelac Acid, Sesglicopeel K or KH.

Anti-ageing Peels
The skin is the largest organ and there can be many areas on concern. Some clients are worried about their hands, neck, face or the dark circles in the eye area. There are several different peels that can soften fine lines and lighten dark spots. Bare Beauty specialises in the DNA Recovery Peel which actively repairs ageing cells.

Acne Peel
Lactic Acid and Salicylic acid peels are incredibly effective acne treatments. Salicylic Acid helps calm inflamed skin. It also breaks whiteheads and cleans blackheads, this allows the acid to work from the inside out.
Lactic Acid helps control the oil in the skin and works on killing bacteria and detoxing skin

Scarring Treatments
Many clients suffer from acne scarring, stretch marks and trauma wounds. Mediderma produces a number of different treatments that can help improve the appearance and texture. It may be recommended that these treatments are combined with others such as medical microneedling.
All Chemical Peels are combined with the most advanced Light Therapy Technology to accelerate cellular production.
